Joanna Davis

Quality Consultant

I am Joanna Davis, a Quality Consultant based in Perth, Western Australia. I have been working in the disability sector here in WA for over a decade, covering both metro and regional areas and organisations of all shapes and sizes!

While studying psychology, I developed a strong desire to learn more about the disability sector and began my journey working in a variety of administrative roles. Eventually, I became a Behaviour Support Consultant within disability organisations, holding a dual role—providing support to people with disability and helping organisations develop quality systems that embed a behaviour support approach. This also involved helping to build and develop new behaviour support teams.

I spent time working in the Goldfields-Esperance area and travelled around WA—including Albany, Broome, Bunbury, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Karratha, and Kununurra—as a consultant with NDS, delivering Quality & Safeguarding workshops. That period ignited a deep passion in me for the crucial role quality systems play in delivering safe, high-quality services for people with disability.

I had the privilege to build and lead a quality team for several years as a manager, developing comprehensive quality systems alongside a team with expertise in clinical governance, risk, audits, incidents and investigations, and work health and safety. The opportunity to learn alongside subject matter experts, navigate a pandemic, and be part of meaningful systems change has been an absolute highlight!

Since moving into consultancy in late 2024, I’ve enjoyed working with a variety of quality-focused organisations throughout the WA sector. I look forward to getting to continue to meet people who share a drive to continue to improve and learn, and to hopefully get to be a part of your quality journey.
